1949 chevy pickup
heyy i am building really my first hotrod cause i am only 16 but i needed sum help. I actually have a 51' chevy pickup body with 49' fenders and bed and hood sitting on an pretty new and good shape rollin frame with no ingine or tran. basiclly just the frame, cab, fenders, and hood and i was goin to mold the tailgate into the bed and round in off so u can't open the tail gate and mold the bred to the cab and all the fenders together to make the truck a unibody but i was wondering where i should start with putting the truck back together and restoring it?
-and i was wondering if anyone had and ideas for sum like small custom things i could do to the truck? |

There are several people here that are in the middle of building one of these trucks. Check out the photo album section for some of them. My '53 is here.

hey, you got some good ideas. Maybe someone else can answer this more. but the idea about a unibody is cool. however, i wonder if the chassis my be a problem, cause older chassis' flex more, and if you tie all the sheetmetal together, this flex might become a problem. just something you might want to consider.
good luck with everything. |
