1949 dash

Hello everyone! A new guy here...I'm not new, I,m 63yo....just new to the forum! I am a newly retired electrician from General Motors. I still have my first car, a '65 Impala that I spent 11years doing a total body off resto. Anyway, I just bought a '49 dash at the swap meet and looking to make it a piece of "wall" art for my proposed shop. Was this 12 volt or 6 volt? I'm missing an ash tray....any out there?....but I thought I could attempt to get the light, radio to work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Rich
