1949 dodge
i chopped the room 4 inch's because if you ever seen one of these truck you would think they was built for a giant. the roof was ignorantly high so i chopped it. well it was a 2 peice windshield and i dont want to got back with that style. it has a metel divider in the middle. i want the get the right glass and has it bent to the shape of where the windshield would go like bend it where the two would original of met in the middle. how and where would i get glass work done like this?

The way they used to do that was to butt 2 pieces of glass together and bond it with epoxy.......

The trick is to grind the glass at an angle so that when you apply the silicone there is very little that is making the seal. I've seen glass that was squared and butted with silicone leaving almost 3/16"-1/4" of silicone showing. You will always see a line there, but it depends on how much time you take to make it fit reasonably.
