1949 dodge b1b truck

What is the size ratio in a 1949 Dodge B1B truck? Looks like a 8 3/4 but thety did not come out till the mid 50's.

more info

from the book could be 3.73,4.1,4.3,or4.78 to know look at diff. just under the fill on the passenger side bottom should be stamped in the diff hub

1949 B1B RearEnd

The ratio is 4.78 . Does a 1948 plymouth rear end fit? Plymouth is A body and the doge truck is B body. The measurements are off less than 1". Not sure about the ange of the bird perch?

after looking up 48 Plymouth with some mod it will work with a 3.9 ratio it will help you will need to move the spring on the rear end to reset the angle
