Welcome to Hotrodders. Best to ask in the General Hotrodding Tech forum. But you need to get one that has a track width and wheelbase that is the same as the body that you are going to put on it. Frame swaps rarely are easy.

94 4x4 blazer

Hello again sorry been away for awhile, but does anyone know if a 94 4x4 4 door blazer will work for my swapping project? im wanting to swap my 50 chevy pickup cab and bed to a later model frame. hopeing maybe this will work. Please let me know. Thanks

Hi, the original wheel base of your truck is 116 inch. It will fit on a S10 frame ( 118 inch wheel base) with very minor modification .Just check ad-engineering website, you will have all the answer about it.

You will need a single cab long bed S10 for the simplest swap. An S10 4x4 rear axle will get the rear tires away from the bed. 2 inch back spaced rims in the front will get the tires outboard. The weight of the 50 Chevy truck and the S10 are both 3100 lbs. The long box or long bed single cabs are getting scarce. It was easier for me to buy a used S10 than get the rolling frame from a salvage yard and cheaper, too. I'll sell or scrap the S10 body to reduce the costs of this project. Good luck.
