1950 chevy truck front hub
I have a 1950, 5 window, 3100, chevy pickup truck and have 6 lug hubs. I'd like to change them to a 5 lug hub. I have what I think is a '54 chevy 5 lug hub. It will not cover the entire break shoe when I try to put it on. (It doesn't seem big enough for this truck.) What should I do to convert this to a 5 lug hub?

A real 1954 Chevrolet car hub and brake drum will fit right on a 1950 3100 series Chevrolet pickup. Done it myself a few times ...
You may need to adjust the brake shoes in ... in order to install the car hub/drum and then adjust the shoes out to meet the car drum. Your car drum may not be as worn as the ones on your 3100 were. ALSO ... the hub you THINK is a 54 car ... may not be. ![]() DEUCE ... Moderator
