1951 Chevy Truck
After working on my friends 1968 Ford Galaxie for the last few months, I got an urge to get my own project. As I was driving home from work last week I noticed a '51 Chevy truck in my neighbor's driveway. Well to make the long story short I bought the truck for $1,500. The cab, including the nose, is rust free. All moldings, tires and wheels are brand new. Interior is complete and the truck has bucket seats. However, the frame and the bed are rusted out. I can still save the bed, but the frame is beyond repairs. Can anybody tell me where I could get a new frame. Or, could I use a frame from a 1/2 ton pickup or an S-10? Any help would be appreciated.

RB's up in washington is selling a new frame. The S-10 can be done but it is a lot of work. Should be able to find another stock frame on a parts truck.
