1951 Jeepster column?
I'm building a 1951 Jeepster. So far I've installed a Fat Mans Mustang II suspension and a 1994 4.3 Chevy V6 with a 1986 2004R Trans. I want to install a tilt column with a column shift. It looks like 32-35 " long might work. Has anyone done one of these? also I don't want to deal with an air bag column and would like to have the column shift indicator be compatable with the 2004R shift pattern. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom

2004r came in some 82-86 caddy's
all will have tilt.. I say look there first as the j/y will more than likely give you the column.. the g body used the 2004r but ,bacause they are still high theft.. most junkyards want more for them not 100% but a s-10 with a 7004r will have the same gear indcator 1/2/d/ov same with full sized.. and you are fabing up the linkage to the 200r4.. they should work.. |
