1951 Pontiac 3 speed syncro

I'm trying to find out if the stock 3 speed syncro trand in my 51 pontiac will match up to a small block chevy bell housing, anyonr kn ow anything that can help me????

I belive 1958 was the first year for Pont to use the Chevy bolt pattern on the trans in bolting it to the bellhousing; so no, it won't fit/bolt on. Butch/junior stocker.

2 spd syc

I my memory is correct only second and 3 rd gear had syncronizers, Pontiac with a first gear synchro started in the mid 60's and were actually a 3 speed top loader they bought from Ford. Packard from Mid 30's Had a synchro on first gear,

49-54 3 speeds had a different bolt pattern and don't swap with other chevy bellhousing mounts.
