1951 Willys Truck Suspension-Steering Rebuild

I just bought a 1951 Willys truck for my son and I to repair and fix up and I have decided to replace the steering completly and replace the leaf spring suspension and body lift. It does not seem to difficult from looking at it . Here is what I was thinking and asking for suggestions from others

1) the existing body lift was done with 2x4 blocks - seems easy enough to replace with quality parts.......suggestions on what to buy ?

2) Steeing - I was thinking of a 'IDIDIT" steering kit as they come complete with everything down to the steering box and from the Utube Video and their website seems fairly easy to install - I am not sure of the mustang steering box and if it needs rebuiliding but will look into it first before purchase......thoughts on steering box or comments on kit ?

3) Suspension - New spring brackets and a spring lift kit from one of the online vendors seems the best and easiest way to go.....wider springs I guess from what I read are best.......Thoughts on what to use and where to best to buy ???

4 x 4

You will probably get more info on a 4 X 4 forum. I still have the 48 jeepster on a 78 blazer chassis.. too much work to recommend to anyone. I have had a Wagon, FC jeep truck and my son had a pickup. Long shackles in the pict should have a piece welded across to keep them from rocking sideways. some of the old jeep frames used to crack when a Power steering was added with big tires
