1952 Chevy Truck

Anyone built a 1948-1954 Chevy Truck with 350 ci and 350 turbo, mustang rack and pinion. What steering column will work best??? Thanks.

They're getting kind of hard to find but, a column out of a 70's Chevy van works well. The one I used didn't have an ignition switch and was a tilt. I got mine at the local junk yard for $15.

I used a tilt, column shift unit from an early 90 S-10/Blazer with good results. the mounting collar bolts to two holes under the dash lip. It is reinforced back to the firewall mounting plate for the swing pedal mounting. The lower end of the column is secured using a muffler clamp welded to the firewall mounting plate. I can send you some pics if you need them. If you are not using a swing pedal though it may not help you much.
