Hi All, We are currently restoring a 1953 Chevy 3100 pickup and are desperate to locate a hood for this truck. The hood that it came with (not fitted) doesn't fit by a mile and its all we need now for it to go on the road. Pleeeeease can you help us in locating one. Kindest regards to all

If your hood isn't dented or damaged in some way another hood isn't going to help you. These hoods often fit very poor. They are difficult to fit properly thus often they just don't fit well at all.

Moving the front fenders side to side causes all kinds of troubles or fixes. This is often an easy fix by moving them via the rods that go from your firewall to the fenders. If these have been removed and they often are for engine swaps and the like, THAT is likely the reason your hood doesn't it. And not understanding how to bring the rear of the hood down by rotating the hinges causes other problems.
What exactly is the problem?

Hi, When we bought the truck it was in bits with a hood supplied. However, the hood is for a GMC truck and not the 3100 which is why it doesn't fit. We need to locate a hood without the hassle of shipping from the States. Kind regards.

The 1948-1955 (first design) 3100 and 3600 trucks all use the same hood. These are very common. Also, there are new reproductions being made. Google is your friend.
