1954 chevy 3100 chassis upgrade

as far as chassis upgrades i was just wondering about swapping in a chevy S-10 2WD standard cab long bed frame or what other options are available without cutting the frame in the middle and 4WD would be great too but not required, heavy half or 3/4 ton a plus and vehicle manufacturer not a concern.

This article is listed under the Wiki ...
check it out
It shows a Ford body swap but would be informative for your swap also .

1954 chevy pick-up frame swap

Deuce, thanks for the heads-up on the frame swap article, i read each and everything i can about what i am going to do, and i have learned a bunch, ADEngineering.com makes a kit using a 1980's vintage 2WD s-10 standard cab long bed pick-up because the wheel base is right on target and they offer a kit that looks better and better to me all the time, all the other s-10's extended cab etc. have different wheel bases and require more work, later, thanks.

This thread has some good info on it.

47-55 Advance Design Chevy on a S10 Frame articles?

That Ad-engineering kit is a tish on the spendy side, but when you consider the fact that you can have your body mounted on that frame in about a weekend... it might be work it.
