I used an electric wiper from Newport on my 54 and it seems to work fine although it has not had a drop of rain on it yet. The old Trico wiper unit is on the shelf if you need one but it may have to be rebuilt. There is an outfit out there that can repair your unit or sell you a rebuilt one. I think they all mounted the same way and are not specific to a year or model but could be wrong. I hope you still have the transmission arms that move the wipers as they are not reproduced for that year.
