1954 Pickup

Hi All,

I have a 1954 Chevy 1300 pickup 5 window. I want to rod the truck and I know you can use a S10 long box regular cab frame. I was wondering how new of a S10 can I use? I think I can go as new as 1992, the older body style. Wondering if I can use the newer body style? I'm going to be putting a small block with and automatic trans in it. Also wondering what rear end with poi track is the easiest and best to install?

Thanks for any info you can give.
