I've been doing a lot of research on-line and speaking to potential suppliers as to the availability of a power steering conversion for the 1955 buick special. Everyone seems to have converstions for the tri-year Chevy but none for the buick. Some have said that the GM 605 steering gearbox can be adapted but they don't have any specifics on how to make it work.

Anyone have any experience with the Buick? Can you point me in the right directrion for suppliers? I'd like to have some options other than putting on a steering wheel from an old school bus to make this beast easier to turn. I looked into the electric assist motor that goes on the steering column but that set-up costs three times the price of the car.

Any help would be appreciated!

**As a note, the engine is not original; it has a small block Chevy in the car that was installed by a previous owner.
