1955 chev truck 2nd series
Hello hotrodders of the world!! when I was 16 my first car was a 70 chevelle.(30 years ago). I bought a 1955 chev 2nd series truck, (56,57 front end and 12volt). very nice condition. This is a father son project and he is a 14 yr old gear head. Came with a broken 350 4 bolt main small block chev and powerglide tranny from a 72 camaro. A friend rebuilt 30 over and some cam. i am ready to install. I have all parts for motor, going HEI distributer, 650 holley and stock manifolds.

Hey KK, Check out DD's thread in hotrodders lounge; 55-59 group, all nuts about old trucks. Read the whole thread, I found this forum looking for 55-59 info.

Sounds like a great project. I have a 14 year old son also, we are working on a 55 1st series truck with a 383 stroker. I cant wait to see him turn the key for the first time in a week or so. Its been a 3 year project and the look on his face when it starts up should last a lifetime. Good luck on your project.

both of you need to check out the 55-59 chevy truck thread.
there are only 1800+ post... you might learn/teach something new. and welcome to the site
