1956 and 1957 chevy pickup

i have a 1956 chevy pickup that someone had put a 1957 hood, fenders and grille and would like to keep 57 hood but go back to 56 fenders and grille would appreciate if someone could tell me if there are any differences between them - i know 57 fenders have a hole which is not in the 56 fenders am more concerned about the sizes john

Welcome to the site John.
You should have no problems going back to the early fenders and grill.
You will have to replace the upper grill bar also.

re: 1956 and 1957 chevy pickup

We just put a 55 grill in a 57. Like the other poster says, the upper grill bar is different. Those extra holes in the 57 fenders in the grill area aren't just holes but a stamped flat too. You have to rework those flats or cut them out and replace them. Other than that, no problems.
