1956 Chevy Pickup frame swap advice

So I have this 1956 Chevy 3100 swb that currently has what appears to be a 1975 4wd frame underneath it. I am looking to swap it out and turn it back into a 2wd with modernized running gear underneath it. I was thinking the best way to do this would be to find a complete modern frame to throw underneath it.

I was hoping there might be somebody out there that might have some experience with this that would be willing to offer up their wisdom.

Thanks
-Deeks

Not that you're going to but PLEASE don't ask if an S-10 frame will work.

Haha. Not to worry I've been building cars professionally far to long to not know better than that. Just have never rodded out a 56 from this point of attack. Basic dimensional guidelines do not elude me. Haha

That sounds like a sweet project you have going. Would love to see some pics! actually just sold a 57. She was a nice all original ride. Would have felt bad cutting her up.

David, I would not be opposed to some horse trading. How would we setup something like that?

Swap...

Here are a few pics of the frame that came out of my 58, all original I have the straight axle and rear end that was in the truck. I am not sure how we would pull this off. I have a lot of parts I am not going to use. I am in south Tx. How close are you?

David.

Maybe because I am a moderator on this forum, which would make it part of my job
