1956 chevy truck headliner

Hi everybody, I've got another one for you guys, I have a 1956 ford truck that a local enthusiast wants done along with door panels and kicks, but those I should be ok with. I am wondering how I might be able to do the headliner, are there different ways. it has in it right now the origonal headliner board, no cloth, but it is badly warped, should I try to find a replacement one of those? and if so anybody know where? I have also been doing some experimenting with ifberglass but none that is over my head..... is this possible to do? seems pretty messy. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. and thank you all for your anticipated cooperation.

I'm not familiar with Fords ... or what you're dealing with in a 56 ... but kits are usually bad news from what I've seen. Why not just use the old deal as a pattern and fabricate your own?

Ron Magnus' book Custom Auto Upholstery show how to build the headliner. I followed his book and it works great. They use chipboard(light cardboard) and glue it in then use die grinder to smooth it then 1/8" foam then glue in the material.. I bought a headliner made out of plastic from RodDoors for my 52 Chev pickup and glued in 1/8 foam headliner foam then glue in the material. You can even make patterns in the foams. Raised or lowered. Recommend get the book shows how to do carpet and seats too.
