1957 pontiac

Hey my dad bought a 57 pontiac and we are looking for a place to find chrome pieces for it. We would like to find interior parts also.

Thanks John

The next place that I would try is Steve Barcak's Pontiac Heaven http://www.pontiacheaven.org/

Thanks for the info guys I like the pontiac but It has more rust than we thought. I would like to clean it up but my dad just wants to sell it and get one finished. We are trying to find new chrome for it to see which way is cheaper to buy it or have it chromed.I will try to get some pics on here later today.

Thanks John

Where is the rust that you mentioned? That car looks sharp. If the rust is in the floor boards or the trunk pan, they can be replaced. But then again, I'm partial to Pontiacs.

The Rust

The rust is going thru the rear bumper and bubbling out around the trim areas. It's not real bad it could be made real nice but I'm afraid it would have to be repainted.

thats just minor rust

a few years ago there was a 57 olds for sale real nice no real rust here in town they said only 500 bucks but i didnt have it at the time and the car is still around new owners now

its too bad..

we have two 57 chevies

ones rusted junk not restorable and has real rust, and is a 4 door 210. we bought it to rob the entire rolling chassis for the 57 2 door gasser to convert it to a streetable daily driver car, but i dont think we are gonna do it now and are jut gonna sell/scrap everything instead. the trunk is full of chrome and goodies i havnet even been able to look at yet because i cant open the trunk. it has a straight six unknown size and unknown transmission in it, the trans is iron but the dash says 2 speed. so i am so confused...

the other is a 2 door bel air solid body and in primer but is a complete race gasser conversion and so is not a streetable car and never has been registered to be legally street driven

good luck with yours! yours sounds like a good one to fix up far better than most anyways
