1958 chevy stepside pickup

have lower front fender patch panels never have installed a patch panel before wondering if i could do this myself. Ihave a mig welder but would need some help as how to cut out the old and place the new panel just getting started.THANK YOU FRANK BERRY

install a patch

Hopefully The fender can be patched on the truck. Makes the job of lining things up easer. Cut out the rusted area and trim your panel to fit your hole. Spot weld the patch in place, you can use masking tape to hold the patch till you get a few spot welds in place. Fill in the rest of the welds and grind and fill. Not as easy as it sounds but better than living with the rust!!
