1960 impala rear end
 

tryng to figure out where i can get a ring and pinion kit for this rear end, and axel bearings..i have already got the rebuild kit for the diff. just need the 2 other things. the casting reads:
c 8 0
3725898 GM

The rear ends from 55-64 are the same gears etc........

where can i find the ring and pinion kit though?and the rear wheel axle bearings

got the bearings and seal for mine thru napa gears came from summit or jegs i think they were richmond gears

u remember how the axle bearing cost??

i think around $50 to $75 installed on the axle with the new seal apiece

its that price per side?

yes it was per side but it was around 5 or 6 yrs ago .also the bearings must be pressed onn and off

hey just a quick note...3.08-3.70 uses the same case and the 4.11 on up has a different case. Otherwise depending on your current ratio you may need a ring gear spacer.

Richmond gear has most all you need.

i checked them out and they had the ring and pinion, but as far as the rear wheel alxe bearings where can i get those ive looked everywhere no one seems to have them..

They have lots of parts for 55-64 Chevy rears.
