1961 ford falcon electric fuel pump

I posted about thh ability to swap out my vacuum pump/ fuel pump combo pump for a straight up mechanical only fuel pump. plan b is a small electric fuel pump and blank out plate where the manual combo pump previously bolted to the motor. any input really didn't want to go this route but the guy I work with use to be toyota mechanic and swears the electric fuel pump set up will be way more reliable. Any ideas input would be greatly appreciated. I really just want my falcon to be more reliable so I can drive it more often and further

Mech fuel pumps have been used for years with great results! Now there are some problems.... vapor lock etc..... but there are also problems with elec pumps.... regulator, noise level, safety shut-off, etc..... bottom line... use what you desire, both systems, when sound, are reliable.

just be warned without the vac pump, the vac wipers wont work well, and you'll need the electric setup from a '62-'63 Falcon.. As far as the fuel pump, just get 1 for a 1963 Ford Falcon 6cyl with electric wipers. Dont overcomplicate the system if you dont need to
