what other trans. will bolt to the aluminum v-8 besides the Slim Jim ?

trans bolt up

If I rememger right there were factory bellhousings for the baby buick, olds and pontiac engines to use the old t 10 4 speeds and other trannys with the chevy pattern

The aluminum 215 has a unique bellhousing bolt pattern. Only bellhousings for that engine bolt up. D&D Fabrications in Michigan builds adapters for later model GM automatics.

Also, the Rover versions of this engine use the same bellhousing. You might be able to adapt one of those transmissions.
