Hi all,
Todays silly question is , how does one repair the bottoms of the doors which have rusted out totally ??
OR should you simply find replacement doors , which is also silly as I dont have tons of money.

I guarantee there is a company that makes patch panels for that truck. If not, a whole door skin. Or, you can make your own. Cut the area out and lay some 18 guage down, and weld it in place, slowly. I'd check with Goodmark Industries. All they do is GM sheetmetal.

Hey Stovebolt; Cross Canada auto parts has everything you need. They have an outlet in Vancouver and the part # you need is 896-12. They are also into Mopar parts. Not as extensive as the GM stuff, they also install what they sell.

I was just looking through the knowledge base and happen to see some door bottoms and door skins for your 64. I'm not sure but they might be GM quality. They're around $27-42 a piece. I tried putting the direct link but it wouldn't show it. You just have to click on 64 Chevy truck and then doors.

I bought inner and outer door bottoms for both sides from them, but haven't put them on yet.

I see that Scott's Super Trucks (Penhold Alberta ... about 1/2 hr north of me) now has complete doors available for (ouch) $595 CDN ... If I decide I can afford those, I might be able to make you a deal on my patch panels?
