1964 Impala Fuse Box
Attached is a pic of the 64 Impala stock fuse box, the two "ignition/fused" slots are located on the upper left hand corner.
Are there no fuses associated with these slots, if not, why?
If I understand it correctly, these two slots are only "hot" in the run position (when the engine is started).
Are these two slots getting their juice directly from the battery, what's behind the configuration design?
Those two taps are fused with the Wiper and the Back-up fuses.
They are connected directly to the load side of the fuse.
However----the two slots that you have wires plugged into may not be fused.
Battery is not fused-----and pretty sure the lamps are not fused either.
If the lamp side is fused, then it is fused with the dash lamps.
I'll have to go look at a an old box later----from a 59 but not much different at all
