1964 Olds F-85
I just saw this for sale on the road for pretty cheap. And looking at the condition, I can get him even lower. But the question is, what do you think about this car? Something that can be hot rodded? It looked nice, but I think it would be pretty hot with some Cragar wheels, a nice paint job, and some fuel injection hanging out of the hood.
What do you think? 78SilverShark |

Yes, that's the car. I like it, it is a nice ride. I think it would be nice to hot rod. I'll talk to the guy. If I can get $2k out of him, then I think I might.
But I also have to get the parents approval, too. I'll see what they think about me buying it.Okay, thanks for the opinions. I'll talk to the guy as soon as possible. 78SilverShark |

Excellent "hot rod" material. It is the basis for the 4-4-2 and shares suspension and driveline components with the Chevelle, GTO/LeMans and Skylark/GS. Slip a tweaked Olds 403 in there with a 200-4R OD and a 3.55 posi and you'll have yourself a fun set of wheels. The 403 is capable of excellent performance with the right mods. They had the strongest rods of any Olds smallblock and I believe they used the same stroke and journal sizes as the Olds 330 that may be in the '64 and those supposedly had forged steel cranks. See where this is going ? A good set of heads and a dual plane intake with a good torque cam, HEI ignition..................... TONS of potential !

Thanks for the opinions, guys. I'll see what the guy is asking for her. And if the parents don't agree, then I'll post his offer here, as well as a phone #. Maybe some of you are interested.
