1964 rear end

i have a open rear 308 i have a posi unit can i put posi in the open rear posi 308 to but the axle will not fit the posi unit the open axle are28 splin the posi must be differant can some body please help me out max at wrmax10@hotmail.com

Sounds like a GM 64 8.2" 10-Bolt. Big Gear Head mentioned this in an earlier Post. The 64 model has different style splines. You will probably have to get new axles to fit the later design Posi.

Gears

If you want to use the same axles you could take your spider gears out of your old axle or get a new set of spider gears so they match the axle spline, it's cheaper than axle prices.
