1965 impala A/C

I'm installing factory a/c vents in the dash of my non-a/c impala. Does anyone know if the only difference in the welded-in lower portion of the dash between a/c and non-a/c cars is the holes for the ball vents? Could these just be cut into a non-a/c dash? Kind of a specific question but a/c cars are like hens teeth up here. thanks b

I don't have an answer for you...but if you google 1965 Impala Dash, then when the results come up click on the images tab at the top left of the page. There are pages of pictures, you may be able to find what you need there.
Good Luck!
