1966 Barracuda wheels

Hi My sons cuda has a bolt pattern of 5x4. Can it be changed to a 5x4 1/2 or 5x4 3/4.Most wheels are in these patterns. Thanks Randy

The easiest way to get the larger bolt pattern is to do this disk brake mod using donor parts from later model "A" body Mopars. Gives you 4 1/2" bolt pattern and disk brakes for better stopping.

I did the change with a 73 duster. Actually I changed the k memeber and upgraded to an 8 also, and I replaced the rear end. If you just do the front you will have to get your axles/drums on rear drilled with new pattern and fitted with new studs.

If you can find a whole car, valiant, duster, dart, demon, scamp from 73-76 with discs and the pattern you will be ahead of the game and have an improved braking system. I'm not sure on the rear end width on thos models, but they may match up with barracuda

The big bolt dodge pattern fits everything including 1980's 5th ave wheels, (heavy big steel 15" six slot cop rims are nice) You can put a ralley center on them and paint and you have a nice ralley knock off cheap and beafy.

Now I have a related question. I have a 67 barracuda with factory disk brakes and the 5X4 bolt pattern.
Will a hub/disk assembly from a newer A body fit this allowing me to obtain the larger bolt pattern or do I have to do the entire conversion?

I don't know for sure but if the rotors are the same diameter then you'll probably be able to just swap the rotors. On the other hand, if its a larger rotor you'll need to swap the caliper brackets and maybe the calipers as well.

Thanks, I guess the only way to know for sure is to try a set. Now the trick is to find some...
