ford i.f.s.

I have a 1964 step-side that I have installed a volare about 8 years back. I have 1967 short wheel base truck that I want to change to i.f.s. I want a daily driver-the aerostare i.f.s.-it has 302h.o.-ps.-air-pb. I tried 3in dropped spindles -still rode like a truck.

I had an 89 Aerostar van and looked at the way it was constructed. It was a bolt in, in the Aerostar, I don't see why you couldn't use it under the truck for a DD.. Check your frame height to see if the ride height will change. IIRC they have bushing kits and good swaybars and stuff like that for them.

I used to beat the crap out of mine, and it seemed to take all the abuse I could give it. I know the courier services and service companies used them alot around here. That is a statement in itself.

I would not use it if you are using your truck for heavy duty stuff, like towing and heavy weight work. I don't think it would stand up and the brakes are kind of small.

Later, mikey
