I have a '67 GTO in for some repair work. The spindles have been replaced with 2" drop spindles, they are one piece forged units with integral caliper bracket and steering arm. They LOOK like '70-up "F" body spindles.
Good enough, but since the steering arms are longer on these spindles than the stock units, the inner tie rod on the passenger side is rubbing on the centerlink. The only reason the left side does not rub is because the centerlink is shaped differently on that side because of the steering box.
Has anyone run into this before? Is there a special centerlink, or idler arm and pittman arm swap that will make these spindles work?
