1967 Mustang Emblems/Stripes

I rescued a 1967 Mustang GTA, 390 from a wrecking yard. The car had been repainted over the original paint and there were no emblems. The fenders, trunk and hood all have holes for mounting emblems. I know the hood gets "FORD" lettering and the trunk gets "MUSTANG" lettering. The mounting holes in the fenders may or may not be correct as I suspect that at least the LH fender has been replace and maybe both. I am looking for information on the proper configuration of stripes and emblems for the sides and fenders for a GTA coupe.

Here's a pic i found so you can see the strips and where the emblem goes on the GTA. Is yours a fastback or coupe ? Post some pics for us to see.

Thanks for the pic. I have a coupe. It's striped and disissambled ready for primer. What is confusing me is that the fenders have mounting holes that I believe would be for a "MUSTANG" and a running pony emblem. Pattern is:

I am thinking that a GTA would have the strip and GTA emblem like the pic u sent and not any other emblems but I don"t know.

Yep the GTA would have just the one emblem on the lowere front fenders like in the pic and the stripe. You can get or should be able to get a template for the stripe kit from a mustang parts place.

Her's a couple pic the one on the left is a factory 67 GTA and the other is a factory 68 GT. Notice there are no other emblems on either of these two mustang fenders. Now the non GT and GTA they will have the other emblems with the if i remember correct the standard 67 had the regular letters and running horse, and the 68 had the script mustang emblems with the running horse.

Thanks guys. I am going to fill the holes in the AM and go with the strip and GTA emblem. Had to get this resolved before primer and paint.
