I have been quite interested in that motor myself. The few tidbits i know about them is this. There is a cut off i believe it is 2004 where they went to an electric servo instead of a throttle cable so if yours is after o4 make sure you salvage the pedal assembly and that harness as well. Most the swappers are using the 02-03 vortecs to avoid this Other than that its just like any modern efi swap. salvage all the harnesses and brains and never cut any wire no mater how mundane it seems untill the project is finished.
Their is a fella in seattle that had one in a 51 chevy coupe with a stick shift from a chevy colorado 5 cyl and it flat ripped for an inline six. great pic on a powerplant
