1968 10 bolt

Did 68 el camino 10 bolts come with posi? as an option maybe?
I have the rear end out of the car, is there an easy way to tell if it is a posi rear end? i took the pan off and took a pic of the internals and will post them soon.

I have a eaton posi unit in my 12 bolt and the internals look very different then what is in my 10 bolt.

Yes, a '68 10-bolt could have been ordered with a posi. I pulled one posi unit from a junked '69 Elky years ago. It isn't the strongest as far a posi units go, but servicable at less than 375 hp and no slicks.

Post a pic, but it will be obvious if it is posi, it will have the preload plates and 4 springs between the axle gears, around the center pin.

Ok, thanks for the intel.

I am am probably just going to give it away if anyone wants it, i had it up for sale for a while and didn't really get any bites on it. I am pretty sure it has 3.06 gears in it.
