1968 Camaro Door Panels....

I am looking at replacing the door panels in my '68 Camaro and would like to know if the deluxe interior door panels are a direct replacement for the standard interior panels. If not what else would need to be modified in order to make them fit? They cost a bit more but look to be the much better product. Thanks in advance for any help...

they have to be direct replacement. i think all you would need is possibly an armrest and some trim (if it has trim).
i haven't even seen the door panels on that car but they are all about the same deal.
in order for them not to be the same it would have to have a different door with different holes, well, lets just say they are the same.

The door panels are not quite a direct replacement. The door handles are different for the deluxe interior

not sure

I'm not sure about the Camaro, but I know the firebird Deluxe Door panels are NOT a direct replacement. Door handles and window regulators are different. Door handles operate differently, so the machanism is different and the window regulators have a longer shaft for the window crank to go onto. Seeing as how the Camaro and Firebird are so similar, It may be the same…..
