1968 Chevy Nova SS

How can you tell if a Nova is an SS or just a plain Nova? Is there something in the cowl tag or VIN that would let you know?

All the REAL 68/69 Super Sport Novas had a 12 bolt rear end, disc brakes and multi-leaf rear springs.
