Post 1969 GTO Ram Air IV

I have a 1969 GTO with a 400 ci engine in it. I would like to get a Ram Air IV, but I have heard of problems with the carb being too tall and the ram air not fitting. I have a Carter Competition 4 barrel carb on it and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not I could get a ram air on there without running out of room. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Croz

ram air on a GTO is void because the scoops are in the wrong spot, the air passes over them and gives no ram effect,in fact there is almost a vacume at the point where the scoops are located.a cowl induction system will give a ram effect because of the high pressure area at the base of the windshield,or an air duct taken from under the bumper will force air into the intake

Better cam and heads. The ram air was more advertizing than anything else.
