1969 Z28 with 7,135 miles

Hello Jon, Thanks
I sent you some pictures last year when I got the car. I'm a 69 Camaro guy who grew up drag racing them and paying 3,000 bucks for a new one. Now that they have went way up in price I finally found one that has been sitting in a garage for 40 years. I'm not sure I can afford to put it back together. The man I got it off of paid 1,500 dollars for it around 1970 for it with a blown motor, all numbers match. The guy he got it off of raced it every weekend. He put a bigger carb and a racing distributor on it.He found the original carb but I had to buy the distributor off Heart Beat City Jim for 3,000 dollars. ( not a re-stamp ) Trying to put it back together but its hard working 2-jobs and 2 kids in college. The motor has been re-built and is finished. I feel I have to go thru the whole car and paint it to make it perfect. This would be a show car when finished because of the numbers matching motor , trans, shifter,(a round Hurst shifter) rear end, alt, starter, carb and distributor. Jerry Mc just finished the original brake booster rebuild @ 1200 bucks. It also has the original exhaust system all rusted out which i will keep and put a new system on it all correct. I don't want to sell it , I need to finish it within a year. It has the 373 possi and front disk brakes,8,000 tach & am-fm radio & rosewood wheel. Interior is like new and not a replacement. 79-79 Rallye green/W-white striped - 711 Bk-int--X-77--5A date built car from Ohio. Sorry I have not been on lately. I'm way too busy. I would love to have it finished for next years good guys show in Ohio. You can call me when you get time if you like. Did you all come to Columbus in July for the good guys show ? real distributor

Yes , the car is not a numbers matching car without the 1111480. A real one is almost impossible to find, there are thousands of re-stamps out there. For a graded show car you will never win without a real one and Jerry Mac does the judging.
