1970 8.2 Rearend Swap
I have a 70 Nova that I recently yanked the 8.2 rear out of. I am looking at replacing it with an 8.5 or something different. Does anyone know what is the correct width (54.5") I could use? From what car?
I also heard that a 9" from a 69 Bronko would work. Any help would be appreciated! <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

The 8.5 inch from 72 to 74? are quite strong and are the same width as the 8.2 you already have.

Yes that is true but to rebuild an 8.2, the parts are almost twice as much
 . That is why I am switching to either an 8.5 or 9".
