1970 chevy pick up
i am looking for a little info on the engine in this truck i have not really done to much in about 20 years but i do miss it the bad side is that i forgot alot of the things i should know so with that in mind the pick up is (mind you this is wht i was told) powered by a 2 barrel 327 from a 66 or 67 nova the numbers on the tab in frnt of the passenger side head says "k12 06 cry" i dont remember if this means anything also i think there is a number on the back where the trans bolts on is that true i would be greatful for any help i could get

There a few sites with information, one here, , another here. Poke around the second side for different codes and locations.
Yes, there is a number cast into the top of the bell hosing area on the drivers side, something like 3970010.
