1971 GM factory axle locker?

found a fear diff that bolth axles spin the same direction. its a 12 bolt rear diff from a 71 van. i was told its a factory detroit locker. can this be confirmed? i thought 14 bolt diffs came with lockers not 12's. could this be a good rear diff for daily driving?

The truck 12 bolt came with 2 different limited slip differentials. One was the Eaton Posi and the other was the Eaton Governor Lock. The Eaton Posi would turn both wheels together and the Governor Lock would only lock in both wheels after one wheel started to spin. This van probably has the Eaton Posi. Just be sure that the rear end isn't damaged. I have seen rear ends that would turn both wheels, but did not have a posi. Both wheels turned because an axle tube was bent or the standard differential was damaged. Remove the cover and do an inspection before you buy it.
