1972' Chevy truck full restoration
I want to a chassis swap because my truck is a long horn and my other junk one is a longbed,The frame is good and in decent shape.I have an early classic kit the 4/6" drop kit,I want to lower it and replace everything for the suspension,I also bought a painless wiring kit,I dont really know much about installing them but nothing has ever worked right with the wiring in this thing.
I want to know what I need to buy for the suspension?to replace everything?also how I should go about it?I also have a ford 9" I want to install I had pads welded on but I dont know if I can run chevy wheels with it or not,Do I need to redrill the axles? Also will the driveshaft fit? What do I use to clean up the frame and paint it?I have a compressor to use for air tools and such. I realize you guys cant answer all my questions but any would help this is my first complete restoration and I really dont want to forget something important. Thanks |
