1972 Dodge Demon rear end swap
Hi,
I got a 72 demon with a 7 1/4 rear end i also have a ford 9 inch layin in my garage with 373 posi... how hard would it be to swap em? anybody ever done it??? thanks Chris |

It is a straight-forward procedure. Cut the old spring pads off the 9" if they don't line up with the Demon leaf springs. Weld on new pads after adjusting for pinion angle. Put an adaptor u-joint in the driveline (adjust it for length if necessary). Hook up the brake lines and parking brake cables and then go do some burnouts!

yep if the width is close take down the driveline measure the angle at the yoke vs. spring perch angle and make the new axle the same if they are about the same length at the pinion
