i have a 1972 ford pu with a factory 429 from what i have read it has boat anchors for heads any mods i can do to boost performance
this truck has 25k orginal miles on it will it run on normal pump gas with no future problems
any head can be improved, but at what cost? what do you want?biggest "problem" with FE heads is the exhaust doesnt flow much compared to the intake side.
Ford 429's are not Fe Engines. Completely different . 1972 429 were low HP anti smog engines. Low compression etc. best heads are 1968, 1969 T bird 429 heads may help some. i dont know if Ford raised the block height on these or not.
thanks for the correction. My buddy had to pull his heads on his cobra last week end and I have that project in my head.
