Pictures and a price range would help..............................
I would like to find a decent Nova too, as my next project.

I'd like to find a nova also. Since you have a 350 you can put that in, but the 327 is a nice motor also. What does your girlfriend have against you buying a nova? Do you tell her what purse or shoes she should buy? Unless you like taking orders from someone. If you get it for a good price and can do most of the work, I say buy it. Just realistically look at the price and what it will cost to get it finished and make sure a lot more then you can find one all done.

i understand.. just i know a deal like this wont come again reall soon..
he said hell take 800 for it without the new rims and tires that are on it.. and 1200 with the rims. selling it kuz he doesnt want it anymore he has another nova hes building. but my thing is if i do the body work.. and clean the car up really nice.. and also install the new motor/tranny.. (guy said hed bolt them up to the crossmember and bolt them to the mounts in the car but id have to do the rest to get it running.) motor comes complete except with out an intake.. which i have one at home.. and so im thinking if i get the help from friends/ uncle.. i can get it running in a weekend. if its running and 80 % of the body work is done.. (besides primer / paint but dents and rust are fixed.) it will be worth 5 times more and how much is it worth... if the car was running.. id prolly sell for close to 2000.. but its not and it comes with a motor.. how good can this deal be? another thing is i got a nice paying job and all.. so saving money cant be that much of an issue.. and shes about to get a p/t job also.. shes also in school.. (finishing up 3 or so credits to graduate. then off to collage.) and money wont be that bad of an issue.. but the tihng is we live with my parents.. and were trying to save for a appt and stuff for an appt to move out.. but i need a car first.. and my mom was telling me to wait 6 months b4 we move.. so i can save for a car and all but i want this car lol.. and also why does it matter if i get this.. or save for 6 months.. ? atleast itll be running. + our parents will helpful in getting us stuff for our fist appt and all.. Sounds like a plan to me, you get a car you like and you have a chance to make modifications as you see fit. You could also sell this car should money become an issue and get a less expensive vehicle. 6 months is a lot of time but is also going to go by quickly. Make it roadworthy then do the body work.

DO IT!!! If you want it,go get it. It will not come along again. You're g/f will get over it. Unless you are married it does not matter. Then all it means is you will be in the doghouse for a few weeks. No big deal.Don't let a g/f stand in your way on something like this. That is a nice price if all it needs is that fender repaired and paint. Those Novas are getting real hard to find for a low buck price, and are good street/race material.

If you want it buy it. If the g/f throws a fit...time for a new girlfriend. A relationship is a mutual thing and not one sided. It's your money, do with it what you want. "But what if she gets mad at me? " If she does..change your name to Nancy!!!!

Here is some fatherly advice.
If your girl Friend does not want you to buy it, it is only for the reason she wants you to save your money to marry her. BUY IT! For down the road when you are married, remember this!!! It is easier to explain why you bought a car than to try and get permission to buy it. |

Wheres the pic? Sounds like a hell of a deal to me, If your gf gets mad, she'll get over it. If not, then she was not worth keeping around
Yeah I know it sounds kinda harsh, but its the truth.Brad |
