I am doing the same thing with my Rambler, and I am ending up changing EVERYTHING. After looking at it all, it is getting a new master cylinder, hoses, shoes, all wheel cylinders, I am not screwing around with this, it will all be new.
You need to look into your master cylinders condition before you do your wheel cylinders. You don't want to have a corroded up master cylinder pushing junk out thru the lines into your new wheel cylinders do you?
Start with the master, fill it with fluid and flush out all the old fluid in the lines out thru the bleeders in the old wheel cylinders. Clear it all out until nice clean fluid is coming out the bleeders. THEN do the wheel cylinders.
