1972 pontiac grandville 455

Ok so I know a guy that is getting fined $200 everyday this car is at his house and he will trade me for my 1984 c20 with 454 bbc and 4spped granny, which is currently halfway done being painted and is worth $1600 as it sits since paint looks bad because there isnt enough coverage yet lol anyways his car is a 1972 pontiac grandville with the 455 motor runs good and 4bbl carb, oh and some body work lol anyways it needs like $300 in stuff (tires, mirrors, and window re chaulked) and it can be road legal so whats the thing worth, he is asking $4000 which i think is too much maybe $2000 rite? Let me know as i can get $2200 for my truck when done and dont want to lose money here and im clueless on its value
Oh and he claims a 10.5 1/4 mile most likely, and i say B.S like high 15s if its not to heavy lol rite.

I don't see anything '72 Pontiac Grandview about that car other than the motor, trans and maybe frame. No top, it's a fair weather ride but obviously appeals to you. Figure out what it will cost real time to make it road worthy, subtract that from the $2,200 you can get for yours and offer him that much. Does it come with tights and a cape??

As far as running 10.5 1/4 mile times, does he have a time slip? IMO 10's only if pulled with a TF car.

Just wondering what would you guys say a clean put together 1984 c20 with 454, a/c, cherry bomb dual 2.5in exhuast (yes i know too big but i got it with this size pipe) going to 3in chrome tips out back, soon to have 2-4in lift in back, interior looks beast, and soon to have nice glossy white paint Im thinking around 2k because the market for these arent that great anyways ill upload a pic of interior as it's only pic on my computer and i replaced dash with a black one, and it was still in project mode in pic so it looks BETTER now lol the steering wheel was replaced with racing type grant wheel the roof and what not is white then trim and stuff alike is black i think it looks decent enough for a girl to ride in

I know for a fact $1000 is not close lol, you cant find a running 80s truck with 350, or 454 thats not beat to hell for under $1400-$1500 and it being a 3/4 ton, new paint, bedliner, nice interior, A/C, and not tore up i would say that adds at least $500-$700 to value of beat up rusty truck correct lol.
I have bought over 15 vehicles the last 2 years and im pretty close everytime on value, but i do like to hear others opinions but $1000 is crazy lol
