Ok, 73 roadrunner, brake lights not working on either but turn signals do work on both rears and on left rear marker but not on right rear marker. When the lights are on the left taillight also works but the right is dead...hate..hate..hate electrical.....any insights?
Are you sure that brake lights and the turn signals use the same bulb? If yes do this.
Using a test light check for power at the fuse block for brake lights. Brake lights are a different fuse (circuit) than the turn signals.
Replace any bulbs that don't work even if they look OK. This will rule out that issue.
Four way flashers work? What happens?
Did they just stop working or what?
Make sure ALL grounds are good,,, 99 out of 100 times it is a ground problem... Also make sure ALL bulbs are in right and making contact like they should,, I've seen already where the socket turned just a little causing the lights to do crazy things..
If your turn signals work and no brake lights, check for power on the pink wire at the brake light switch. When the brake pedal is depressed, the white wire should get power which then goes to the steering column disconnect up into the turn signal switch and back out on the brown and dark green wires. If power is not coming out on these two wires, the switch is bad. Also it seems you have a few bad bulbs unrelated to the brake light problem.
